Lily: "I have to go poop."
Target Lady to Me: "[small chuckle] That must be why they say being a parent is so humbling!"
Me: "[courtesy laugh]"
Me in my head: "Humbling? Actually I think that's pretty darn funny!"

Just another reason why you're the right mom for Lily! I love watching the way she meshes with you (and stretches you! thinking of the railing incident).
Thanks for sharing. Makes me smile, too. There's something we could all learn about honesty like that. Well, maybe not EXACTLY like that ;), but "fine" is often not an honest answer to the "how are you?" question.
