A Precious Commodity

Yesterday my daughter came running into the house after being outside with Daddy bearing a handful of this precious commodity and bouncing up and down. "Look, Mama! Look! Look! Look! Put it in a vase and use it for decoration, Mom!" She was so excited. And the contents of her little grubby fist was indeed beautiful. It represented about half of the grass growing in our yard. Around here, it's a precious commodity! (and it does make a nice decoration, doesn't it?)

HA! I thought for sure it was going to be straw you could spin into gold, or at least the last of summer's fresh rosemary. Oh well, grass is good too, especially when you don't have much. Can't wait to see what spring will bring though!
