It's hard to believe it's already been one year since you joined our family. It certainly seems like you've always been a part of "us". You were a very content newborn and continue to be a rather laid back sort of guy. We're thankful for that!
You've grown and changed before our eyes, hitting all the milestones typical in the first year. You took your time learning to crawl, but we weren't worried....it made things easier on our end for awhile! Since you learned to crawl, you've discovered a whole new world of stairs, grass, dirt, cupboards, guitars, toilet paper and toilets in general, as well as the meaning of the word "No!". It's a treasure to watch you learn all these new things.
You adore your big sister and she you. We love to watch the two of you start to play. Generally that involves her being the mommy and you the baby - or her the sister and you the baby brother (hmm...creative!). You play along with it. Thanks for doing that. One of these days you'll understand what's really going on and you might change your mind. I kind of hope not, though. It's fun to watch.
You are a big boy. You eat a ton. Almost as much as Lily. No wonder you only weigh ten pounds less than her! Slow down...we don't need you to grow up any faster than you already are :).
Happy birthday, buddy bear. We love you more than words!

Happy Birthday Mason! You know, for some reason, he REALLY reminds me of your dad. Did your dad look like him at that age???
