Sibling Revelry

These two have, in the last few months, become excellent playmates. I'm enjoying this season of sibling revelry, before the likely rivalry sets in. The other day they cozied themselves up in the rocker, at least one blankie in tow, and stayed there for at least 5 minutes. 5 minutes is a long time for anything when you're 1 1/2.
Mason loves playing with Lily because she's always into something fun. She gets him into and on top of places he can't get to on his own. She reads him books and lets him play freely with all her toys. She loves to be wild and make him laugh. And she is, overall, a kind older sister. Once she made a slide for him out of her mattress (devoid of blankets or sheets) by pulling it halfway off the bed. Mmm. Good times.
Lily loves to play with Mason because he doesn't have very many ideas of his own about play yet. And because he [sort of] allows her to dress him up once in awhile. And because she feels so grown up when she can "babysit" in her room for 2-5 minutes. He laughs at her jokes and copies everything she does. And because she loves to drive trucks and throw balls just as much as he does.
They're great playmates, and I'm treasuring that.
