We had a goal of finishing up the rock on the fireplace and the flooring in the living room over Christmas break. We (oops, I mean my amazing husband!) did it! Here are some pictures to prove it. The first is the "before" - the fireplace is done and we're ready to get all that scaffold out of the living room!
The second is how it looks right now. Lily just loves to run in the "gym". In fact, we're considering never putting furniture in there - it's too great a space for running around! The fireplace still needs a mantle and hearth, but hey - the big stuff is done!
